Globe Swift N80958

Rey's log book says on April 6, 1953 he had the plane painted red and gray. This is the results
I remember Dad's Swift had a bubble canopy.
Maybe dad had it modified. I remember when Dad slid the canopy back while
flying and he rested his arm on the
window sill. The skin on his arm rippled in the wind and it looked funny.
I read all through the logs for the Swift and didn't see any mention of a canopy
modification.
Such a change would have to be recorded in the log. Unless someone who would
know clued me in on the canopy,
I wouldn't know.
This is from US CIVIL AIRCRAFT REGISTER - 30 SEPTEMBER 1992

FD Barnard sold it to Harvey D Barnett, Daytona Beach, FL.
I looked at another registry and it is registered to:
| Name | BANAIRE ENTERPRISES INC | ||||
| Street | 26350 RIO VISTA DR | ||||
| City | HEMET | State | CALIFORNIA | ||
| County | RIVERSIDE | Zip Code | 92544-6764 | ||

Harvey D Barnett then must have sold it to Guillaume Feral.
It apparently went to France, as noted here.
1151 N80958 Guillaume Feral, France 200 Lyc, canopy, painted, etc, (N969RG)
This is the plane pictured above.
From what I see here this may be the same airplane that Rey flew.

http://www.saginawwings.com/swift-serial-numbers1b.htm The serial
numbers match.
Unfortunately there no dates attached to the records and I can't get a true time
line either.
I'll keep on looking for answers.
